Georgian Women Winemakers Successfully Showcased Their Wines in London

28/05/2024

From May 23–26, 2024, twenty Georgian women winemakers took part in a landmark promotional tour in London, proudly presenting their wines to international audiences.

Supported by the Embassy of Georgia in the UK, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), and the National Wine Agency of Georgia, the event featured a series of tastings, presentations, and networking opportunities. The highlight was a reception held on May 26, Georgia’s Independence Day, at the historic Vintners’ Hall - one of the most prestigious venues in the UK wine world.

This initiative was led by WIWI – Women in Wine Industry, an organization committed to amplifying the visibility and impact of women in Georgia’s wine sector.

The London tour followed the success of similar events held in Poland, continuing WIWI’s mission to elevate Georgian wine and women winemakers on the international stage.
