23/06/2024

On June 22, 2023, the Women in Wine Industry Association was invited as a Guest of Honor to the Trade and Economic Affairs Forum held at the UK Parliament’s House of Lords. The event, held with the active support of Sophie Katsarava, Ambassador of Georgia to the United Kingdom, featured a special reception dedicated to promoting Georgian wine in the British market. WIWI representatives showcased a selection of exceptional wines produced by Georgian women winemakers, highlighting the diversity, craftsmanship, and cultural richness of Georgia’s winemaking tradition.

The reception was attended by Members of the House of Lords and House of Commons, as well as diplomatic representatives and business leaders, who praised the wines for their quality and unique character.

Through this prestigious event, the Association helped elevate the visibility of Georgian wine and underscored the vital contribution of women to the country’s wine industry.

WIWI remains committed to advancing Georgian wine both locally and internationally—empowering women winemakers and celebrating the cultural heritage found in every bottle.
