Doctor's Bio-Cellar
Doctor's Bio-Cellar is located in the heart of Kakheti, in the village of Chumlaki, Gurjaani Municipality.
The story began in 2020 when two doctors by profession decided to name their cellar "Doctor's Bio-Cellar."
Initially, they began producing wine for their family. However, due to increasing demand, their hobby soon turned into a business.
The cellar produces natural qvevri wine. The vineyards are located in the Akhasheni microzone and the "Pafri fields," where only organic preparations are used.
The doctors produce five types of wine from three grape varieties:
- Saperavi
- Rosé
- Khikhvi
- Khikhvi-Rkatsiteli
- Rkatsiteli
In 2022, Saperavi received the Sommeliers Choice Award, and in 2023, Rkatsiteli won a gold medal at the British International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC).
In 2021, Doctor Bio-Marani began exporting wine to Japan, followed by exports to England.
They have participated in many international wine exhibitions, including RAW WINE events in Tokyo, Berlin, Paris, Copenhagen, London, Krakow, and others.
